- New Landlord Electrical Safety Check Legislation
New legislation has been launched by the Scottish Government in relation to electrical safety in private rental properties in Scotland.
From Dec 1st 2015 all rented properties must all have fixed wiring (Electrical Installation Condition Report or EICR) checks carried out at least once every five years by an electrician who is a member of SELECT or NICEIC.
This effects –
- New tenancies starting on or after 1st Dec 2015
- Current tenants extending or signing a new tenancy agreement
If your property is managed by Glenham then we can arrange these certificates on your behalf. We will remind all our landlords in plenty of time to ensure that you are compliant with the new legislation.
Please do get in touch with us if you have any questions.
